Charles has been blogging for a while about the east coast micro-breweries, here. The north-west is the same, fantastic micro-brewed beers. We went to a bar last night with 160 beers on tap! It’s name? The TapHouse, original . For those coming this way Mac & Jacks African Amber Ale is the local hero, and for good reason. My other favourite is Rogue’s Hazelnut Brown Ale. An unpasteurized beer with amazing hazelnut flavours! 

The other highlight so far (besides the fast food) is Roller Derby. It’s easily the best spectator sport ever! It’s hockey without the annoying hockey bits. Two teams of women skate around the rink, while the two Jammers try and break through the pack. All the while everyone is body checking everyone else. Fantastic! I originally thought it was going to be a form of jelly wrestling. It turns out it’s a real sport, and the girls are pretty hardcore. Good Times.
