Cecilia & Ricardo, two of the Nica’s we spent the most time with, gave us a ride to Granada on their way home saving us getting up at 4am! They even treated us to a lovely lunch in Granada!! Very generous of them.
We didn’t get much time to look around so we stayed an extra day in Granada. It’s a lovely colonial town, definitely worth a day’s wandering around. We had some local fare at the markets including ripe Jocote (a cactus fruit), they also eat it green with salt, and a chicken thing similar to an Empanada.
