When I was a teenager my Dad would bring us here from Jacksonville. We never had a bad time. We loved every minute here. I am excited to share Itchetucknee Springs with my family.
I was just there last week. It’s definitely a smaller adventure than some of the others on your list, but it’s one of the nicer springs in North Florida for sure. Definitely swim in the blue hole at the north-entrance headwaters (your second photo there), then take a tube or kayak down river; there are a few other springs along the way before you get to the take-out point. It was about a 4 hour trip on a tube with a few diversions along the way.
If you happen to be in the area, there are plenty of other springs and similar places to visit.
